I was 13 & was ready to go to school & my Mum said "You not going to school in this!!" Which was nice !!.
My Dad's moped got knocked over in the winds & My Mum's stayed up!!!

my husband was rescuing his families farmyard animals after the roof of there enclosures were blown off,3 hours of rounding up frightened animals and keeping them safe single handed thankfully he saved them all without any casualties he was 18 years old at the time and his two brothers refused to help him

I wasn't alive then but my step dad just told me as it came on what he was doing. He had gone to the pub and came out to find that there were alot of leaves on the road and just said wow hasnt the winds picked up :P he woke up to find that there was a tree in the roof(the tree woke him up :P) and when he went to go to work the 15 minute journey that he normally takes took hime 3 hours. The person who he went to work with each morning said to him, if your planning on going youd better have a chainsaw.

i was at school i must of been about 14 and we were sent home after about an hour i lived in gosport then on the coast and it took a right hammering there was trees down fences blown over and roofs off it was all quite exciting for a 14 year old and we had the day off.

I was asleep when it started. Woke at 2am to the sound of trees crashing down on the hillside opposite my house.
