I am an American and I watch comedies regardless of their country of origin. I have seen most of the BBC episodes and really enjoyed it. Ricky Gervais is so good, so funny, and Gareth and Tim and the ladies are fun to watch. I think David's friend Finchy is a real hoot too, so bawdy, so many memories they share. I think some of the British people's disdain for the American version is caused by comparing the two and possibly hard feelings that we copied you. Well we did, but Stephen Merchant and Ricky Gervais' names are in the credits of each episode, and the US show was made for US audiences. The US version is in its third season so we must be doing something right. The UK show had only 14 episodes.

Creed Bratton without a doubt is the funniest character on the show. Every line he utters is an instant classic (i.e. mung bean odors, never having had a refrigerator, living in the office four days a week and three days in Toronto because it's a welfare state) He is hysterical without speaking at all; I loved when he dyed his hair with copier toner in an effort to look younger to avoid being laid off for being old. He is just funny no matter what he does. "Bye Marybeth!"

Creed. That old guy is amazing. He died his hair with the toner two weeks ago. He is supposedly a regular cast member this year.

I really like Toby, he has no luck whatsoever! I also like Stanley's responses to all Michael's craziness.
