Okay, so my neighbor is pregnant with her 2nd child, due at the end of the month. She swears up and down that she doesn't know what she's having, but has a "hunch" that it's a girl. And over the weekend, she put a PINK carseat in her car. She said they didn't find out with their first either, but she "just knew" it was a boy, but that's easy for her to say, cuz he is a boy. I just find it kinda strange that she denies knowing what she's having. She even borrowed all the old girl clothes from another neighbor. Why would you do all that on a hunch? I mean, come on! The pink carseat is a little too far for not knowing what you're having. I think she knows and just doesn't want to tell anyone. Why would you deny something like that when you do know? It's bugging me. I know it shouldn't, but why do people do that? I'm pregnant as well and I'm finding out the gender in 3 weeks and can't wait to tell everyone!

Maybe she believes in all the old wives tales a little to much! It's quite ridiculous to get everything in pink unless you're 100% sure!!

With my son i had a feeling it was a boy. My first investment for the baby was a stroller, blue. Well then the doctor says boy. My family said don't trust that, i said oh its a boy. Guess what he's full blooded boy. With my daughter i wasn't too sure in the begining, the further i got i found myself wanting to look more at girl stuff. Then the doctor couldn't tell me what i was having, she wouldn't turn right. I had some of my son's clothes left, so i wasn't worried if it wasn't a girl for sure, but i just knew it was. I bought little girl stuff(of course i left tags on it until i was sure it was a girl). And we have a girl. My friend the doctor told her 3 times hers was a girl, she said i have a feeling its a boy, well they do all the pink anyway, and it was a girl. Sometimes i think woman can get these "feelings" i'm not going to say they're always correct, i know 2 peoples who wasn't. Again maybe she knows but is trying to surprise everyone else with the gender when its born. I would worry over it much, even if its a boy, babies don't care about color only comfort. My daughter used all my son's stuff, like car seat, stroller and high chair which was blue. She hasn't complained the first time

Hard to say. Might be that they agreed not to find out and the tech accidentally told her or something like that. Could be that she really believes her hunch and feels safe about it. One way or another, a little boy won't care if he is brought home in a pink car seat or a blue one.

It may be denial! I had a girl first and I wanted a boy really bad so even when I was told by my doctor I was having another girl I refused to believe it! I bought boy clothes I even had a boy name BenJamin Alexander I had boy blankets! I was soooo disapointed the instant she was born I went ohhhhh crap! But the instant I saw her I went oohhhh how cute!!
Also remember there are more girls born than boys so chances is really good she just might have a girl. Clothes can be exchanged! Friends cannot! Just bare with it. It will be over soon and she will be back!!

It doesn't matter if it's wierd or not...it's her personal decision if she wants to tell people what she's having regardless of whether she knows herself.
Maybe they told her at her ultrasound that they "think" it's a girl but couldn't get a very good look to be positive, so maybe she's going off of that.
Or maybe her and her husband want to be the only people who know right now. Whatever her reason...who cares!

Yeah that sounds weird, but perhaps she is telling the truth and does have a really strong hunch. I think you should give her the benefit of the doubt.

It is weird, but your right, it should NOT bother you. Why don't you focus more on your own pregnancy than your neighbors. It doesn't matter what she is having, if she's right on her hunch... more power to her. If she seems to be doing it for attention, don't bother working yourself up over it, go on with your own life.

That is strange. Wouldn't it be really funny if she had another boy? How embarassing would that be?? LOL Even if she "knows" she doesn't really know for sure ;)
