Ok picture this, you buy a decent windows laptop for £400 ($800) then all of a sudden you realise the new mac leopard is coming out therefor you want to get that instead of your current windows, thats my situation!
What should I do? my parents wont let me buy a new laptop because I just brought one recently?
Thanks in advance

Contribute to the effort. Fetch financing. Sell stuff. Get a job. Earn money. Work! (Do all this BEFORE HAND! Don't just promise you will afterwards!) Show that you deserve another laptop. Show them how you're using the laptop you have, show them, in a way THEY can understand, the way you intend to use the new laptop, and prove to THEM that you need a new laptop.
All of this amounts to, simple logic, instead of emotional appeals. The latter, I'm afraid, won't always work.
If it's your money, and purely your money, then you must use that same sort of logic (and understanding) to debate the needs or usage of that money, and how it is to be allocated. They may have a different opinion. Understand it, and help them understand you.

Ok i'm revising my answer based on new information provided by the OP.
First off keep on saving until you can afford the difference and find out what the real market value is for your existing notebook on the used market. Create a small written proposal outlining the performance differences and guaranteeing not to change notebooks for a specified period (in business it's normally 2-3 years). Then catch them at a good time (vital) and make your presentation. Doing it this way will show you are being serious about the matter and not just lusting after a new toy.

I think that if you carefully read the answers given here, you too will come to the conclusion that there is more to this story than was explained to you. I also cannot believe that a doctor would say that a patient with diabetes and / or heart problems will come to any harm by having a cat. That is ridiculous. I too have diabetes and heart problems, and I have four cats, and we are all doing fine. I have also always had cats for the last 60 + years, so I think that I should know what I am talking about. May I also suggest that if / when you manage to get another cat, you do not go to a dealer in order to purchase one, but to one of the numerous animal shelters who have lots of cats who just need a home with someone who really cares for them. You will not be disappointed, I assure you. Hope you get your cat, for its a wonderful feeling to fall in love with an animal, and have them return the compliment.

Whats the issue? If its your money, go buy the damn laptop to make yourself feel like you have the latest thing. Its a massive waste of money and you are an idiot, but since when do you need the ok from anyone to spend your own cash...?

Honestly, don't you think you're being just a little bit greedy?
Your parents were nice enough to go out and spend their hard earned cash on a computer for you and you turn around and want a new one almost immediately?
PLEASE don't ask your parents to buy you a new computer... you will only get them upset or really angry.
But if you want a new computer so badly, maybe it's time for you to get a part time job to pay for it yourself.

Sounds like you are a spoiled brat that always wants to have the next best thing.
If you want the best, maybe you should earn money and buy it for yourself. If I were your parents, I'd take away the first laptop and sell it just to teach you a lesson about being an ungrateful brat.

If you are buying it with your own money then you don't really need to persuade them do you.
Just buy it and don't tell them nothing. They probably wont even notice

If you already have a laptop, don't persuade your parents to get another one. Be glad that you have a laptop.
