Outragous child support enforced! Unfair arrears penality regardless the cost! Why?

Does this government encourage greed in women? I can understand a deadbeet parent or dad for that matter but why does teh governement turn their backs on single men who actually pay and play a big role in their childrens lives? I am going through the same situation though I hadnt been married to my ex, but at a child support hearing not long ago she lied through her teeth about the time share we had, we both have joint legal and physical custody and I know it isnt just 50% each but she claimed I had 18%, bullsh**! I still got off paying less than what she was expecting (greedy bi*ch! ) but is this an on going trend now? Why is the government letting Child Suport Offices condone this? I am owe arrears not because I refuse to pay them or do not want to but i have had a job that didnt pay much and the county knows this, yet it took them 2 years to process the needed info to change it

Yeah, I have kept alot of documents, journals of course when she would pull stunts, come to find she is running from creditors and keeps relocating and I just found out she is trying to get another job but a lower paying one, I'm assuming to stay on welfare, that girl never stays at one job for more than a year, the longest 2. And never stays in one residence for more than a year. As for this county CS office, I filed back in 2004 to have my wage assignment fixed cause I make less than my last job and I have my daughter 40 to half the time now and it takes them 2 years , I think the only time they got the court date was cause she filed for Welfare, I have all they notices sent out stating that they will get my wage assignment adjusted, in the meantime its racking up intrests from the last order. I have never missed a payment before cuz they were garnishing my wages, then I got fired and have had trouble finding a better paying job. Since then I still had that order I coudnt reach.

Since my girl is almost 18 I know better than some about this theory. The past 17 years of her life have found her mother 2 Associate degrees which she does nothing with. The time that I had her in my custody I asked the court for no support because i wanted no excuses for her mother not to be there for her. In the three months that it took for my atty. to get it into the court i was still charged the support for her. The last time we were in court for a hearing the court set my support as it was before and she went BALLISTIC. She had the nerve to tell the court that her lawyer wanted her to quit her piddly job and go back to school and get her masters degree. It is apparent her masters in BS has no need of further schooling. These welfare riding women need to be sent out to do what we the accused deadbeats are FORCED TO DO EVERYDAY!! Which side is really playing the deadbeat here? When I had my kid my gf & I both worked. When my X got remarried for the 5th time they didn't even have utilities. When DHS took my kid away from her they didn't even bother to call me. If one of the other fathers hadn't hired my atty. I would have mever known that this even happened.

I do understand more than you will ever know.

It has always seemed to me that women try to turn a man into a pay check and do all they can to prevent them being a father but will complain like the dickens to the children about all a man don't do but never tell the children the difficulty they caused the man in doing for his children or being with them.

You need to
DOCUMENT EVERYTHING and make every payment on time.

***I can not say this enough:***
DOCUMENT ~ DOCUMENT ~ DOCUMENT everything!!!!!

Pay consistantly, on time each month. DO NOT GIVE CASH.
Always pay by money order or check and keep copies of EVERYTHING YOU HAVE PAID.

***If you pay directly to your ex then get a file and keep organized records over every child support payment.***
***Keep receipts of everything you buy your children because EVERYTHING you buy can be applied to your child support payment***

In some cases it it better to go through the child support enforcement office because it holds both sides accountable BUT if you ever get behind on a payment they will become the child support payee's enemy and no matter what your x is doing will not matter cause THEY WANT THE MONEY.

KEEP GOOD RECORDS on visits, children behaviors, phone calls, money, time spent and not spent together & etc.

Documentation is how you win in child support or child visitation issues...

The courts make money off of child support. Men have allowed it to happen to them,by not paying enough attention to change. The term deadbeat is a political one and would be a violation of the court order if you said it in front of the child. BTW,I receive support and have kept his mother out of jail over non payment,just in case someone thinks I'm just being bitter.

Sounds like you chose a winner when you chose who you wanted to have a baby with. maybe next time you'll think twice - have a baby with mother theresa!

yep- child support is unfair - and it sucks paying it. but, if you are required to pay for it - you just do it - get through it- and before you know it - these 18 years will be over...... definately try to stay as current as you can w/ the child support- because you don't want to be paying back arrears after the 18 years..i'm sure you just want it OVER!

Having worked in government offices in the past, I can tell you it's not so much that they don't care or that they're deliberately unjust... they're just run by the worst bureaucracy you can imagine.

It's like they worship inefficiency, I swear. It was the worst job I ever had and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants to care about the job they do. Very sad, considering the types of situations people are in when they go to the government for help.

The government encourages not having to pay welfare which it has to do when fathers don't pay child support. In the big picture, you will find a lot more deadbeat dads than greedy women.

I totally agree with you. You fathers. need to stand up for yourseves and do something to change this injustice.
