The freezer is part of a refrigerator/freezer combo (upright/separate doors) Subzero brand about 15 yrs old.

Make sure the fan in the freezer is working. Also check to see if you have any ice build up behind the back wall.

If the freezer is too full, air will not be able to circulate. Nor will the walls of the freezer be able to absorb, and extract the heat. This out the item you have in there, that should help.

Check the door seal.
Especially if it shows a lot of frost.
