Ok. I know there are other cadidates that I am not hearing of, but this is the one I am concerned about. Why is it that he is NOT the lead name out there to give the Repblicans a chance in this race. So many people are so sick of Bush, and the Republicans you are hearing about are not great replacements. Why isn't this guy out there more?

There are loads of signs here in Illinois that say, "Google Ron Paul". I've seen them all over the place. To answer your question though, perhaps it's because the mainstream media doesn't consider him to be in the "top three" of republican contenders, therefore they consider him as not newsworthy.

Ron Paul is a libertarian with near anarchistic tendencies. His pie-in-the-sky ideas are unrealistic. Even if he were, by some miracle, to be come President he would have to get them passed in Congress. That has the chance of a snowball in the Sahara of happening. For this reason, and I am sure plenty of others, Ron Paul remains a third tier candidate with no hope of winning the Presidency least of all as a Republican.

Because the Republicans have determined that Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson are their 3 front runners.

Those are the only ones that have a chance in the GOP nomination, so the media focuses on those 3.

On, Y!A, we never /stop/ hearing about freak'n Ron Paul - because of people like you. Give it up already! He's a fringe candidate: he never had anything even remotely resembling the shadow of a ghost of a chance at the nomination.

I think the phrase "unelectable fringe candidate" may have something to do with it.

Because he don't have a chance in Hades of winning. And I wish I wasn't hearing about him on this site.
