Looking for handyman/contractor?

hi, I live in the Los Angeles area (Culver City) to be more precise. I am looking for someone (like a contractor / handyman/ plumber ) to install a new bathroom sink, faucet and mirror. Does anyone have any advice on where to hire someone for this job? I was thinking about going to the local hardware store and asking the workers for suggestion; but I like to know what you all out there think.
