Hard to say for sure, but injuries are not helping.
Give some "credit" to the offense. When they don't have an effective running game to chew up clock, or go "three and out" the defense gets tired.
The running attack is the biggest difference. Thomas Jones could move the chains, and Benson was suited for banging away on third down or late in games.
A rested defense is an effective defense.

You are NOT crazy--but the front office is. I think it was insane to let Ron go. He was really not given enough credit for his work there. Just goes to show how important coaching and strategy is to the game of football. Defense is an art that few are good at.

the reason the defense looks so bad is because as hard as it is to believe they are on the field this year even more than they were last year.
as crazy as it sounds the offense isn't scoring like it was last year and it seems almost as if the defense is on the field for 3 quarters of a game. thats why they have all of the injuries and everything too.

As a Chargers fan, I'm not mad. But, I am surprised that he left the Defensive Coordinator job to only coach Linebackers at San Diego.
