There definitely is. Our solar system and our galaxy is like a newborn child compared to the rest of the universe. There is an infinite number of galaxies and even more planets. To imagine the universe imagine a 5 by 5 room with all the holes and cracks plugged up. Then fill it with sand. Each particle of sand represents a galaxy. Each galaxy has billions of solar systems and each solar system has planets. Theres a very big chance there is life out there and a infinitely small chance that there is none.

There are billions upon billions of stars in the universe, so even if the conditions for life are highly improbable, there is a very very good chance life exists in multiple locations. If, say, one out of every 100 billion stars could potentially have a planet with life, then there would still be about a TRILLION planets with life.
If we ever find it is another question.

Well, yes I think that life on other planets is near fact. We have allready established that the universe goes on forever and ever therfore we should accept the fact that there is going to be more planets, and the human race should not be so arogant as to say, we are the only intelligent lifeform in the universe.

If perhaps, you are really asking if there is intelligent life, like ourselves, yes. It would be totally stupid, I think, to believe we are the only intelligence in all the universes and cosmos. If Earth is only 4 to 6 billion years old and the Center of It All is infinitely older than that, that would make people of Earth children. So, in my opinion there are adults in some other universe that have been around for a lot longer than us.

Back in '96 scientists CLAIMED that they found fossils of bacteria in a piece of Martian meteorite. If this is true and scientists did find fossils in this Martian rock "Who knows where else life might exist?"

Space is endless, our universe alone is enormous. We would be very naive to believe that we were the only intelligent life form.
