Trail of Tears was about the removal of the Cherokee Tribe from Georgia area to the Western State of Oklahoma. just google

while all the answers are correct the name itself refers to the loss of many natives during the trek from Georgia to Oklahoma/ Nevada area. as far as a pic goes I'm sure you have seen the Indian slumped on his horse with a spear in his head.... well that's a famous representation of the trail of tears.

The "Trail of Tears" is when thousands of Indians were forcibly removed from their homes and marched to a place that was "reserved" for them. Many who made this jouney died before ever reaching their destination. Check out this site.

In 1830, President Andrew Jackson and Congress passed the "Indian Removal Act". This act forced the Cherokee nation out of their homeland and forced them to the west. As many as 4,000 Native Americans died during this nightmare.
