When I was a tennager my friends and I would play,once we got the thing moving we could bring our fingers off(just above the glass)and it would still move.Now I know it wasn't "a ghost",so can anybody explain it?

No one would be pushing it!! I'm telling you we could ALL bring our fingers off the glass,just above it,no one could have pushed it!

It is most likely demonic, but that's hard to prove with science.

I don't share personal experiences about this type of thing very often, but this time I have to.
I lived in a house that had a "presence" living there. It was the spirit of a very unhappy man. He would walk up and down the stairs and across the attic bedroom that my brother stayed in.
My aunt and mother got a Ouija Board and what you described happened to them, except it headed for the sun or moon symbol. We were told not to use it because the board can summon things that you don't want to deal with. A type of portal, if you will, for evil.
Long story short....oops too late...the ghost continued to live with us until we finally moved. It never bothered anyone, other than to make a lot of noise, and we burned the Ouija Board. No one was willing to take a chance on inviting evil into the house! I don't know if the claims are true or not. I just wouldn't take that chance. Nana

Hey i have used a ouija board what i would say many times.. i have looked into the scientific explanations into and everything and i have to say i have no clue.. when we have used it, it has been able to tell us a lot of information from where we ate b4 we started using it, past information, and when we used four people we had each ask questions that only one person would know and the ouija board answered real accurately. so my theory on it is that somehow some spirit communicates through it... the group who i use it with always has a negative vibe afterwards but i dont know what that means.. but i do think its legit because we have seen it not work after some of what we call our "main core" took their hands off of it and others used it. so it seems to have to do with a spirit but i wouldnt swear to that.

When you subconsciously think about an answer, you'll be drawn to it. Your hands and fingers vibrate, as you cannot hold anything perfectly still. So if you're thinking the answer is YES, the vibration of your hands will very slowly guide the piece towards yes. It doesn't happen like in the movies, but it can still work to some degree.

I have personal experience. If no one is cheating by moving it and it is intelligently answering questions, then you are in contact with a spiritual entity. Is it demonic? I can't answer that for sure but I did have a bad feeling while it was doing it's thing, especially when it got angry after it's inability to answer questions about the future. Years later, after learning more about it, I threw both boards away that my family had.

not in a way you would like me to explain it. Any professional paranormal/ghost hunter group will tell you, leave the ouija board alone. Nothing good comes from it and you may open a door for something to enter you dont want to have around!
