This is confusing me.. I already solved most of my problem, solving for x and y, but now I need to know whether this triangle is acute or obtuse. It has two acute angles, yet an obtuse angle also. Which is it? Why? How do I know if another triangle is acute or obtuse?

A triangle in which all three angles are acute angles. A triangle which is neither acute nor a right triangle (i.e., it has an obtuse angle) is called an obtuse triangle.

Hi,
It's an obtuse triangle because it has an obtuse angle, an angle greater than 90 degrees and less than 180 degrees.

Triangles are classified according to the measure of their largest angle.
1) An obtuse triangle has an angle greater than 90 degrees. but less that 180 degrees.
2) A triangle that has a 90 degree angle is a right triangle.
3) A triangle that has all angles less than 90 degrees is called an acute triangle.

Hope this helps.

There is one angle here that's greater than 90 degrees, so the triangle is obtuse. If there were no angles greater than 90 degrees, then it would be acute. And of course if there was exactly one 90 degree angle, it would be a right triangle.

If you think about it, it's impossible to have a triangle with more than one right or more than one obtuse angle, because then the sum of the angles would have to be greater than 180.

D fifty 5 stages...a triangle has a hundred and eighty stages, and regardless of if this is a suitable angled triangle, one attitude is ninety stages, the different 2 might desire to then upload as much as ninety stages. because of the fact that one is given as 35, the different might desire to be fifty 5
