It's merely a misconception due to the fact that it is impossible for anyone to be liked and admired by everyone. There will always be negative press when it comes to a celebrity or political figure. That's just a fact of life. People are quick to jump on any bandwagon just to feel like they are a part of something. Bill Clinton is probably hated by more Americans than any president in recent history simply because of the Monica Lewinski scandal although he did more for our country than most recent presidents including George W. Bush. At least Clinton left office with the largest budget surplus in history and George W. quickly took care of that and he has gotten this country into the biggest deficit in recent memory. Bush has spent Billions of dolllars on a stupid war that he started with false information and he has caused thousands of innocent people to lose their lives, both our military personnel and many others. He now knows that we have no way out without losing our dignity and what little respect we still have around the world so he just plans to leave it for the next president (which he knows will be a Dem) to clean up his mess so the Dems will get the blame when we have to pull out like a teenager caught in an ugly act. No matter what the opposition thinks get ready for another Clinton in the oval office because it's a done deal and the GOP knows it! Finally we will get this country back on track, both economically and in the eyes of people from around the world. How much better could this country possibly do than to have a president in office with the best ex-president on record as a close advisor..... DUH! PS.... and I am neither a Dem or Rep just someone who sees it like it is.

The majority of Americans with power..white, male conservative Christians. Bill had sex with a young girl and got away with it..that pissed them off..they worked hard to find something and when they did it didn't work. He was still able to help poor and rural voters..The bible says that no woman shall lead a man. And men have enjoyed this privilege forever. Hillary is smart and seems to be breaking down that particular wall. What will the people do? I don't see her winning. I get daily emails from morons back in the States ,woman and men, ridiculing her. As long as there are people listening to Rush and Ann Hillary will not win.

You are right in that you "can't understand it" because it's irrational.

I suggest you read President Clinton's autobiography, "MY LIFE" and you will learn a great deal about the man.

He is the very definition of a "self-made man" and Hillary has ALWAYS had strong beliefs.

Neither of these things endears the Clintons to Republicans, who favor the "silver spoon in mouth" mode of social and political stature.

Because she's white trash posing as a leader. She was never anything more. She says one thing and does something totally different. She stole $28,000 in furniture from the White House and then there was White Water. She's just a bad egg all the way round.

Because they took it to the Repugs and never lied down for them. They fought back and won. And they're smart. To paraphrase Paul Krugman, if there are things that can't be solved by bombing or tax cuts, the Repugs aren't interested.

That's simple...because it's easier to hate and ridicule then it is to think and be open minded and understanding. That goes for the left as well as the right. Both sides seem to think everything the other side does, says, and thinks, is evil. In reality it's just intellectual laziness. Fear of ideas that will make you think and question what you think is right. It's happened long in the past and I am sure will keep happening well into the future.

Both sides have good ideas and bad...
