Teatree oil, a tablespoon of oil in a half litre of water in a spray bottle makes the air fresh and fagrant, you could also wipe down surfaces with it, its natural and is an antiseptic and disinfectant. Lavender oil used the same way is also good.
I place a few drops of teatree on a tissue or clean cloth and place it in the central heating vents, switch the cooler or heat on for a few minutes then remove the tissue and pop it in my underwear draw for a while.

I am so sensitive and allergic to various fragrances and odors that I may just open the window a tad (though please remember to close and lock if leave the house and especially at night). Please be careful with those air fresheners such as glade and scented candles and with incense as well and they can be used as inhalants ('huffing' fumes).
For more information on the dangers of huffing especially if have kids, students, relatives and neighbors -- National Inhalant Prevention Coalition: http://www.inhalants.org

BHS Mandarin and Ginger roomspray at the moment - yummy.
Otherwise it's the Yankee Candles.
(although I've obviously missed out on this whole 'huffing' business)

Normally Anything in Febreeze. I love their candle scents and their sprays. To me nothing smells sweeter then clean. However, when I have company over the smell of good cooking, coffee, chocolate or sweets baking is also wonderful, because it smells homey.
I hate incense - too much, OIls are ok - depends on type. I love candles too - in coffee/hazelnut scents.

Freshly cut grass. I'll go outside and 'hand trim' some grass and rub the clippings over my sofa, drapes and pillows.

I use popurri burners and scented candles, especially cinnamon, vanilla, banana nut bread or anything that smells like granny baking.
