When you throw earth into a thing of water, what happens? The earth sinks. So the dirt of the earth is more dense than water.

Venus is probably denser than earth. It is the same size, but the atmosphere is denser and this compresses the surface.

Earth is denser than water because it is mostly rocky material with a semiliquid iron core. Saturn however, is less dense than water.

As a whole, denser. Just grab a handful of earth (dirt) or a rock, or sand and toss it into some water. It sinks because it is denser than water.

The density of the earth is about 5.5 grams per cc. The density of water is 1 gram/cc.

I got this number by typing the following formula into google calculator:

(mass of earth) / (4/3 * pi * (radius of earth)^3) in g/cc
