If it says its oil-free, that's good but test it first to see how well it works with your acne skin. You want to make sure the products say they are oil-free and water-based. With oily, acne prone skin, there is already an excess production of oil in the skin so you don’t need to add more. With a water-based foundation, you are helping lock in water and moisture, not oil, which is good for the health and condition of the skin and won’t clog up the pores. You might also look into a water-based combination daily foundation and concealing cover creme that looks and feels light and silky but also effectively conceals acne blemishes and breakouts while also conditioning the skin with natural vitamins and antioxidants for a flawless, natural looking finish even if you have acne or acne scars.

I am very vocal about how bad Clinique products are. I have sensitive skin and used to suffer from a skin condition, and 100% rubbing alcohol was gentler on my skin than Clinique. Definitely stay away from their foundation. I tried it about five years ago, and it took two months for the bumps and rash on my face to go away, not to mention the embarrassment I endured. I have used many other brands since then, both department store and drugstore, and I have never broken out from any of them, just the Clinique.

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...

I would not use anything with oil in the product. I would use all natural mineral base. There are some great ones out there. Bare Minerals is all natural and does not break you out and the coverage is GREAT!!!!!
Good Luck
