i am not going to feel beholden to big business. this present republican administration bends over backwards to the major corporations. from reagan on, the republicans have worked hard to favor business vs. the working man. why should i feel sorry for the economic welfare of these conglomerates, when they give less than a yee-haw about my social class. every tax break, regulation that favors them is for the good of the little guy? trickle down doesn't get it. do republicans think that we all are stupid? i just look stupid.

A lot of them think what Calvin Coolidge used to say is true--"The business of this country is business." Of course, look what that did for us--the year he left office, the Great Depression hit. Some rationalize that by helping big business, they let "the little people" keep their jobs. But instead, big business just seems to pocket the difference and keep doing things like they would have anyway. My parents have a couple of small businesses, and my husband and I just started a home business, and even if we ever get big enough to have a lot of employees, I guarantee we won't get a dime of federal funding. They ignore the fact that many people in this country aren't even employed by big business--it's the mom and pop businesses that keep them going.

Big business= Big money. The poor man cannot help the candidate by giving donations, of course, we poor don't have a thousand dollars to spare. I see that as the main reason why republicans help big business so much.

Govt caters to big business because that's where the money is. Big business and Unions make huge contributions to the politicians' campaigns so they can be re-elected and keep their high paying political jobs with health care benefits completely paid for for their entire lives (in most cases).

1 . Investment banks are going to need a govt bailout or protection from scandal
2 investment banks want the politicians to fight for a bigger marketshare of chinas stock market
3 investment banks are on the verge of out sourcing white collar jobs overseas and want political cover when they do it
