5=4x+3
Get the x by itself
Subtract 3 from both sides
5-3=4x+3-3
2=4x
Divide both sides by 4.
2/4=4x/4
1/2=x

you solve to make each side equal
take
5 = 4x+3
then MINUS 3 from each side
which would be
2 = 4x
then DIVIDE each side by 4
which would make it a fraction
2/4 = x
then just simplify the fraction
1/2 = x

It's pretty simple but if you're having trouble with math I'm sorry for saying that.

first subtract 3 from both sides
you get this

2 = 4x

now divide both sides by 4
you get this

2/4 = x

that simplifies into

1/2 = x

now turn the equation around

x = 1/2

get it

Good luck
