I like alot of his songs. But I do not like him. Not anymore. The cheating on your wife causes anyone to lose a measure of respect from me. But it goes well beyond that. I think Garth is so incredibly arrogant that he is completely unlikeable.

I was never big on country pop from the start. I think it is extremely arrogant to decide that your loyal fans who made you what you are aren't good enough and that you need to branch out into another genre to feel successful. But Garth was a hardworking performer at the peak of his career, so I can forgive that.

What I cannot forgive is this latest insult. After his retirement, he recently decided that he will release yet another compilation project. And to spice it up, he adds four new songs to it. You'd think a man with more money to his name than the GNP of probably a good 20 nations would do the right thing to his fans and release the four songs on itunes? Not even close. Saying he doesn't want to destroy his artistic quality, these four songs can only be had by buying the compilation project, which while reasonably priced, is still by and large made up with songs that I have already purchased, some of which on cassette and cd. That, in my opinion, is a slap in the face to the ones who have liked his music from the start.

His best songs, by the way, are "Much too young to feel this damn old", The Dance, Callin' Baton Rouge, and Lonesome Dove.

I have always liked Garth Brooks...He is one of my all time favorite artists. It's hard to choose a favorite song. I love The Dance, Baton Rouge, To Make You Feel My Love, Two Pina Coladas, Thunder Rolls, She's Gonna Make It....I could go one forever!!!

Yes. I like him a lot. His Greatest Hit's album is excellent.

Best songs: "Unanswered Prayers", "The River", "Standing Outside the Fire", and "Shameless". Sigh...love his ballads.

Oh and "We Shall be Free" gives me shivers everytime.
