In 3 more days I will be 9 months...and every single woman in my family that has a child gets them but I don't have them... visibly. I was wondering could I get them even after I give birth?

You are such a fortunate woman! I will be 19 weeks tomorrow and I have them terrible on my back-side, and my sensitive significant other thinks it is now funny to call me zebra @$$....how lovely.

I haven't heard of them showing up after pregnancy, so I think you very well may be in the clear. I am envious of you!

Looks like you escaped them, that's great. Usually if your mom has them you will, but maybe you got the elasticty of your skin from your father's side. You probably would have had them by now. I never got any on ym stomach, but my friend started getting them at 22 weeks.I did get some on my chest when my milk came in, but they were really light and are gone now.

Yes,,,because alot of time you will not notice them because your skin is "so" stretched that when it's deflated and not stretched anymore,,,you can see them. I did not know this-but my friend has a beautiful stomach the whole pregnancy and we were so envious of her-and after the baby was born, they were all of her stomach. It can happen-not that it will to you. Each person is different.

I used coco butter everyday morning noon and night and they did not show up. I have 3 kids and no stretch marks cause of using it. Or I am just lucky, one of the two.

yes if they dont come until birth ... they can still come after birth ... but then they will come on the sides more than any place and will be very light ... unless you are having twins or more :)

Good luck.

if you didnt gain weight very quickly, and you moisturize regularly, you might not get them. i got mine when i was about 14 because all of a sudden i got hips. now i'm stuck with them!!! sigh.
