$20-ish. when you size up, you're adding metal, so it's usually a tad pricier than when you size down. you'll most likely just pay for labor. phone ahead. most jewelers will be happy to answer your question.

RE:
How much would it be to resize a sterling silver ring?
I have a silver ring and it's not plated. It's a size 12 and I need it in a size 8. Would anyone know how much that would cost?

Take it to a jeweler. Make sure you choose a quality one. You get what you pay for with sizing. You will need to take it to a jeweler just to see if it can even be sized. If the band of a ring is really thin or if it's highly decorated sometimes they cannot be sized. The price will depend on what area you live in and how the jeweler will size it. If all else fails take it to 2 or 3 jewlers to make sure you are getting a competitive price.

As long as the ring is solid silver and not silverplated, there will be no problem resizing. Just take it to a jewelry store. Doc

In Springfield, MO, USA, at Huffman's jewelers it would cost $17.00, at least that's the gold price and I think all sizing costs the same. They buy and sell used as well as new jewelry. Other places like Iceman charge $24.00--but he does specialized jewelry and high end and is absolutely excellent. Don't know if you need excellent in this case.

It would probably cost more than the ring.

call any local jewelery store and they can tell you- it shouldn't be much, though
