Because folks are just born that way. It's also NOT WRONG to be straight.

There is strong evidence that people do not chose to be gay. It is a combination of their genetics and their environment which give them a predisposition to be attracted to the same sex. Gay people do not chose to be attracted to the same sex any more than straight people chose to be attracted to the opposite sex.

Attraction is a phenomenon more closely related to the hunger drive than the decision making processess involved in whether you will have chicken for dinner or pork.

It is not wrong for a person to be hungry, and it is not wrong for a person to feel attraction. Both of these things are outside the realm of conscious control, and therefore can not be either right or wrong. They simply just exist.

People should be able to be who they want. Most are just born that way. The only things I will follow in this world on right and wrong is the ten commandments and the law, even though i have broken a few. lol.... Other than that....freedom of expression, freedom of speech, and freedom of sexuality. Great question.

I don't think that there ever could be a "wrong" when we are talking about being gay. Who you like and who you are attracted to is only his or her problem. If you are gay so what. People need to get over that just because they are with the same sex that they aren't normal. It is normal to love and be loved!

There is no reason to assume that it is wrong in the first place. Many species have gays and it appears to be a natural phenomena.

Edit:
Just because your specific moral system says that it is, does not mean that all moral systems do or that your moral system is the correct one.

Because it hurts no one, it involves consenting adults and 'sin' is a made up term by religios fanatics and has nothing to do with how someone feels.
Can YOU help being heterosexual? Then what makes you thik a gay person can help being gay?

It's not wrong to be gay just as it's not wrong to be tall or short. It is the way we are born, it isn't something that can be changed.

Being gay is living in a natural state just as being straight is. Homosexual behaviour is found in all species of mammal and most avian species. It is harmful to noone.

It's only wrong to intolerant closed minded ignorant people. If you're gay, you're gay. Who cares anyway? I love me some gay people.

because we live in a time when individuals have a right to chose their lovers whether they are the same sex or not, older or younger (not too young lol), its a personal decision which is respected by the majority of our population.
