does the following sound familiar?
"Well, the ACLU is at it again trying to destory the USA. What do you think?
This is story, YAHOO frontpage, about a judge in SF (no surprise there)."
your choice of best answer and comments:
McCarthy wasn't all wrong nor all bad, read some history and you will find the truth about that period of time in our history and how the communists were rampant in America in our educational system, arts and humanities, and other organizations.

Asker's Comment: "Its amazing how many people do not know that the ACLU was founded by socialists."
i find any defense or endorsement of McCarthy offensive. but i suppose "offensive" is relative after all, now isn't it? "offensive" is just another word for truth that isn't wanted.

Regarding lumping Castro, Chavez, etc. and liberals together... I think it represents an overly simplistic view of the world exemplified by the saying "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". There are countless examples of this mindset reflected in our foreign policy for decades: US backing of Batista (pre-Castro), Shah of Iran, Saddam and Osama bin Laden just to name a few.
As for the blocking, some just want confirmation of their own viewpoints and rely on the 'mob mentality' to carry them. To do otherwise would mean admitting that a conviction worth having is one that can be defended against opposition and open to changing an opinion that is weak. That's much harder than manipulating the playing field with blocking and insults.

i think of we Liberals could be useful. We ***** approximately issues we can shield, or exists and consequences us in our in many cases occurring lives. Castro and Ahmadinejad are no longer political leaders in our usa. there is not any longer plenty use in complaining, or perhaps condemning them. we are no longer Radical Muslims, and in maximum circumstances, we are no longer Muslims in any respect. So condemning "radical Islam" additionally seems stupid, as stupid as Radical Muslims seem whilst they "condemn" the u . s .. Communism, Socialism, Marxism? nicely, i don't be attentive to while you're attentive to this, however the Iron curtain got here down ten to fifteen years in the past. China is Communist in call basically. There are a pair of sweet sixteen international places that would desire to nevertheless be viewed communist, yet that total international conflict component is over. and that i'm no longer likely to sentence Europe, basically because of the fact they have greater social classes than we do right here. And Chavez and Saddam are the two ineffective. what sort of loser keeps condemning a guy or woman whilst they have died? desire that facilitates you comprehend issues slightly greater useful.

I don't block anyone, what is the point of asking questions if you only want to hear answers that confirm what you think? Silly really, anyway, I don't know. Maybe they associate those people with the Liberals of today. Hillary is undeniably a socialist in almost all of her intended policies.

Hypothetically, trolling for more liberals to block would be the only reason I can think of...
You really couldn't hope to block /all/ the liberal on Y!A, though, there are just to many users.

many of the questions are diatribes not really meant to be answered they are just a platform for anger and attacks toward any who might not agree. Small angry men, feeling helpless in the face of a changing world they are able to understand. I feel bad for them.

good point. Sharia blocked me because my answer about his racists "my tribe" question ticked him off -- then he removed the question - lol
Apparently, you must give "respectful" answers (read - answers that agree with their opinions) to conservatives lolol
