I also have pcos and was put on metformin. In January, I started on a low dose and every month or so my doctor increased the dosage. This cut the side effects a lot, I hardly got any of them. By May or so I was up to a dosage that seemed to be regulating my cycle. That was when we decided to start actually trying; up until then we were not really "trying" we were just not preventing. I got pregnant that following September. I lost 17 pounds when I was on metformin.

Two years later we decided to try for #2, and got pregnant on the first try, no metformin.

Good Luck! Try not to stress over it.

I just started Metforming this month. I have PCOS also. I have noticed this month that my temps are a lot less crazy than they have in the past, and I don't feel the normal crazy mood swings I get throughout my cycle. I am hoping I get a BFP in a few days, but if not, it will be nice to know that metformin is helping my cycles.
