"scary ones"...."mystery novels". nice of some folks to either fail to take time to read your question or they aren't familiar with the term "non-fiction".
As for me...biographies, military history and as a matter of fact...any type of history. Books like The Peoples Almanac and other books of the same genre that have little known and interesting facts.

I would love to read true haunted stories or mystries that are not associated with the norm. Spirits that have not crossed over yet, and for some unknown reason they cannot.

I mystery novels, where a bunch of people are locked together someone/stranded and one of them is the killer, but who is it. Thats where I like to play detective myself.
Its fun.
