In Al Gore's first 8 classes in Vanderbilt Divinity School, he received 5 "F"s. He dropped out of Vanderbilt Law School.

Why oh why...Libs...do you put your environmental faith in a man who, at Harvard, got a "D" in "Natural Sciences 6 -Man's Place in Nature?"

And...for all you Libs who espouse the words of "scientists," I trust that you can answer these questions, or provide links to someone who has:

1 - What percentage of current climate change is attributable to man-made factors, and what percentage is attributable to random variation of the sun?

2 - Why is warming occurring on Mars?

3 - Why will the coders of global climate models not release their computer code?

4 - How are temperatures pre-1700 validated?

5 - Why do global climate models predict future warming, even when *RANDOM* values are input for past temperature?

If you can answer those simple...scientific...questions, then the theory of man as a primary cause of climate change will have stood up to scrutiny. That, after all, is science, right...reproducible results that stand up to scrutiny?

Interesting that Westhill is so ignorant of Gore's history at Vanderbilt.

Interesting also that Westhill cites the "concensus" of some scientists, but cannot type a single word to address my scientific questions above.

Al Gores Life style have proved nothing but the opposite about the environment. I have a right to live like he does. He is always right isn't he?

As usual, another Republican slur which is not even half true.

Gore did not drop out of college. He graduated CumLaude from Harvard with a major in government. Ironically, he got a D and a C in science class, but he did very well his last two years of college.

When he returned from two years in Vietnam, he enrolled in a doctorate of divinity program, taking a full class load while working full time to support his young family. After a semester, he decided the ministry wasn't for him and dropped out. He successfully completed two years of law school again while working full time as a journalist. He ran for the state legislature and won and gave up further post grad education for a political career. Gore was not the academic grind he has been portrayed as, but he clearly learned how to study and learn in college.

"Libs" as you say, base their conclusions about global warming on the consensus of about 20,000 scientists. Gore presented the scientific facts in a way which was understandable to non scientific types, and being able to do something like that is quite an accomplishment.

Edit:

H. Troll: I discussed Gore's history at Vanderbilt. That's where he enrolled to get a doctorate in theology He got the F's because he dropped out without completing his work when he realized he didn't want to be a minister. Vanderbilt is where he completed two years of law school.

Is it so difficult for you to understand that the current environmental global warming issues are based on the findings of leading reputable scientists around the world?

Al Gore is a politician who has used his time and effort to publicize the global warming issue. He is not a scientist.

I’m getting really tired of seeing false, made-up statements about libs and then criticism based on these fantasies. It is a dishonest method of arguing.

ah, I see you are confusing Gore's movie with science, as well as confusing productivity with intelligence.

I guess, if I did the same I could say that Zombies walk the Earth (Resident Evil) and Einstein is retarded (he did fail 3rd grade math after all)

The sun accounts for 0.2 degrees C of our heating.. no more
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/08/070801174450.htm

pre 1700 temps are determined from ice cores... so even if the temperatures are wrong (which is unlikely) they are all wrong by the same amount.. which means the trend is the same.

Mars has no large moon and actually wobbles on it's axis because of this.. people think it's heating because it's polar caps are melting... scientists never said Mars was heating up.. just that that was a possibility... in actuality, because of it's large wobble, it's much more likely that it's polar regions are just moving closer to where it's equator should be (versus it's position to the sun)

I've heard no such discrepancies involving the computer models.

My family has been recycling since I was a child, before I knew who Al Gore was. Now, as an adult, I carry on the tradition of recycling because it makes me feel good, to do it.

And as I live in a part of the country that gets snow every year, I fully knew about differing weather patterns and years in which we had little to no snow and a lot more ice instead, before I knew who he was, as well.

And... if you bother to read my profile, you'll see I'm not a lib.

I suppose that disproves your theory. Three strikes- you're out!

I think everyone in Ohio is convinced global warming is happening. We didn't need Al Gore to tell us that; we just pay attention to the weather.

Al is smart enough not to proclaim himself an expert in the sciences. cons seem to think he has. Al is also smart enough to rely on the expertise and research of scientists, something cons could take a lesson from.

Maybe the same reason the Cons base their military faith on the gospel of an AWOL coward.
