Yes, some people base their lives around religion, some are religious fanatics, and some just simply rebel religion and think it's wrong.
The Harry Potter books are banned in some schools because according to some religious folks, it involved "witchcraft".

Everyone is effected by religion in one way or another but some people are more susceptible to changing their behavior in accordance to a peticular belief as opposed to a religion itself. Religion can be as manipulative as the media under the correct circumstances, it's hard to tell what seperates an individual from personality traits and beliefs.

i'm assuming you are asking if religion effects a person's personality. And yes, it does. If they are strong about their faith, there are certain things they won't do or say. Also, it effects how they treat other people. Religion is a lot of what people are.
