If you are using a windows based computer the only way to clear the cpu cache is to restart your computer. That was usually only a problem on windows 2000 and earlier operating systems. In windwows xp i havent run into any problems with haveing to clear it.

You clear the cpu only by rebooting the PC.
The cache files depend on what program created them. The standards created by Windows can be cleared by running the Disk Cleanup. Those from other programs will depend on the individual program.

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com
It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

You can empty the cache by going to the tools section on the toolbar and then go to internet options, then under browsing history you can delete the temporary internet files or webpages, this should help your pc to work faster. It also should be done every few days or preferrably daily.

You don't.
They are cleared automatically when the processor is done with the application.
Do you mean "how do I clear my Temporary internet Files" or "internet Cache'?

http://www.atribune.org -> click Downloads -> Download ATF-Cleaner it will remove ALL cached documents on your PC.
You could also go to Tools on internet explorer and click on Internet Options in the general tab click on Delete Browsing History and check all the fields you'd like to clear (history, cache, etc.).

Ehm..
The first thing to do to speed up pc and get rid of malwares and viruses is cleaning the registry with a program like CCLeaner http://j.mp/UrAAwk
It works like a charm.
