I was listening to the radio the other night and a local woman says she has a compulsory habit of driving to our aiports to steal people's luggage...about 6 in a day(!). She takes a suitcase off baggage claim, puts it in her car and comes back for another. She said she's been doing it for 7 years, now, and does it because she can get such good items for herself or as gifts. She even sells a lot of the contents inside, as well as the suitcases themselves. She drives to BWI, Reagan Nat'l and Dulles, my airport. She says Christmas is coming and that she'll be at it even more and has never gotten caught. So, if you're missing any luggage thru the end of the year, it may not be the airline's fault. I think I need to add a question now. So, uhh, isn't that crazy?

PHIL M, at the above-mentioned airports, you most certainly CAN go to baggage claim w/ no ticket. You don't go through security or ANYthing. That's where friends, family, taxi drivers, etc, gather to wait for passengers. And she DOES take the luggage, leave and come back.
