I think that for the dollar store tests, you have to be further along. It takes a higher level of hcg to make the line appear....so they do work, just wait a couple of extra days.

I first had an ept, then the digital one, and then the dollar tree one. They all said positive. I'm 13 weeks pregnant. I had a false positive pregnancy test a few months earlier that's why I tested three times.

I got a positive result on a dollar store test about 7 days before my period was due. That is really early. I actually used three dollar store tests and they call came up positive. I had a First Response Early Result (FRER) test too, so I took that to be quadruple sure that I was pregnant, and it was positive too. I looked online at the company that made my dollar store test and it is made to detect the same level of hcg as the FRER. Most tests detect at a level twice that of the dollar store test I used and the FRER.

It doesn't matter at all. They both check for the "pregnancy" hormone. I have use the ones from the Dollar Tree and they worked just fine for me.

The dollar store ones are ridiculous and microscopic and impossible to use. Getting anyone at a grocery store or pharmacy that is the cheapest in the store is fine.

Go to www.peeonastick.com and she gives you the scientific answer--basically she argues that just as many dollar store tests work just as well as the expensive one. It's a great site though and very informative.
