You could lift it over ur head bring it back down and find just a wooden pole, look behind u and you'll find the head lodged in someone's face.

All depends on the "taper" of the handle, i.e. does the axe head go on through the handle first to its home at the fattest part. Or is it staked in place i.e. a metal wedge on the top into the wood. If staked, yes it is dangerous. If not then inertia will keep it in place when you swing. The worst thing is you can KILL someone or thing if it does fly off. Get a new handle if it is replaceable, if not keep the axe head as a wedge for helping to split wood.

well the absolute worst thing that can happen is you could be swinging it and get struck by lightning and that causes the axe to fly into the telephone pole which causes a mysterious electricl current to go through the phone line that accidentally sets off the missiles for WW3 and the whole world blows up.

The axe head can fly off the handle and seriously injure someone! Discard it and invest in another one.

The dangerous part may fly off and hit your mother in the head and then she can't fix your dinner, and then dad will have to cook,he can't read so he will probably put something bad in the spaghetti and your little brother will be the first to eat and he will get sick, then you will have to take him to the hospital then you will be home alone, and some creep will try to break in,FIX IT !!

Its not dangerous, unless you know it will split and cause your grip to slip, but I would say loose is good so you ll get less vibrations.
