As a male massage therapist I can confirm this. Most men do NOT want a male therapist. Some people still see massage as sexual. And I must say that is a shame. Massage is a great thing.
I don't look at it as, I'm massaging a male or female. I try to look at it as massaging a group of muscles.

Male massage therapists are just like male urologists: they are touching you to do their jobs, not to enjoy it. Massage therapists are trained to be professional in their touch and manners. A male therapist will give you the same massage that a female therapist would provide.
Therapists are also trained to politely ignore any unintentional "tenting" from male clients. They are well aware that its not always a reaction that a man can control and has absolutely no meaning as long as the client is not being inappropriate. I would think a male therapist would have even more of an understanding of this phenomenon.
There really isnt a reason to be uncomfortable with a male therapist for male or female clients. When theyre at work theyre therapists and professionals!

Can't explain, but yeah it's common. I don't want any guy pawin me, that's just totally wrong.
(noting the male therapists on board -- yours is an honorable profession that I have not qualms about you performing your professional services -- nothing personal, but not on me.)

Yeah, what happens if I accidentally get a chub. That would make me look gay. I'm not a homophobe, but at the same time I do not want to be a part of any faggotry. It would be much nicer to be rubbed down by a woman... preferably one from Sweden.

I don't have a problem with it, but I think I'm more open minded about it than most guys.
Seriously, what's going to happen? You're going to accidentally have sex with the guy? I'm pretty sure you can always leave the table if you're not comfortable.
