I have a Geotrack train that my son threw into the pool and got dirty. I cleaned it out but the little train doesnt work even with new batteries. Is there anything anyone can suggest in cleaning it out? I have Nitrosolevant and contact spray, I took apart the toy and it was still full of dried mud. The battery area terminals were full of rust. Nothing is broken though.

1st off removing the mud can be a daunting task but if you use warm water and cotton swabs it will work. The main problem will be the motor. How long was it in the pool? IF it was there over night you might have to replace the motor. Cleaning the contacts isn't a problem use your contact spray to dissolve the rust and clean them with the cotton swabs. If that still doesn't work you will have to replace the entire engine.
