Yes, but expensive. Driving a car in London is really expensive and frustrating.

Lots of good entertainment and food, but a lot of foreign tourists some times, The Germanic types have the manners of pigs, and tend to smell. Canadian tourists are really nice. Asians suck, some Americans are nice but most aren't. Lots of near-eastern types in some areas and they are rude and dangerous, should be taken out to the mid Atlantic and given swimming lessons.

London is much better than Paris. Paris is full of foreigners.

there is offcourse good and bad points mainly depending on what part of london you live in

the bad points i would say is .

expensive (renting and buying property)

there is of course the conjestion charge on the roads this doesnt apply on the weekends no

busy

People on the roads are crazy including cab drivers and buses

however there is some amazing buildings and you could never run out of things to do unless you run out of cash

and the public transport is great

and some parts of london have a wicked night life they have so many good clubs and bars and getting home is so easy because of the underground

yer i think london is great so many different kinds of people as well

With the criteria good i'd not commute everywhere outdoors a 40 - 50 mile radius. you'll opt for to be in a straightforward length city, with strong centers, a robust rail link into the city it really is in the inexpensive and three mattress living house below 250k. properly there is no longer a lot selection extremely. you may properly be fortunate and benefit a robust bargin on a house for around the 200k mark, yet they are uncommon contained in the South East Commuter Zones. attempt places like, East Grinstead, Crawley, Horsham, Petersfield, Winchester, Andover, interpreting, Aylesbury, Luton, Letchworth. etc. strong luck on your search for.

It's a nice place if you like living in big cities with big crowds. The city itself is beautiful and British people are lovely.

Not really.
Bad apartments, bad facilities.
More expensive than New York where
a studio apartment now costs 500K for less
than 600 SF.
Heating is a joke, even in pricy apartments.
Food is very expensive.
Health care is better than here.
Transport is as bad as here.
Not too clean. Even in fancy hotels costing $350. a day and up.
Coffee is dreadful except in Italian bars and cafes.
And then there is the Class system which they deny
they have.

From what I have heard, it is a nice place to live, but it is very expensive to live there.

Downsides: breathtakingly expensive, crowded, commuting takes forever, the Northern Line

Plus sides: fairly pleasant architecture, vibrant cultural life, fairly safe compared to other world cities.

Depends which of these outweighs the others for you.

Depends what are you are in, my cousins live in Edgeware and Mill Hill and both areas are really nice, like the suburban areas, no crime or vandals etc. So pick the right place!
