I've had some major surgery and have significant scarring. I have used silicone strips vitamine e and other ots topical stuff. Surgery was 2 years ago and I am pretty self concious of someone seeing them when I take my clothes off or wear a bathing suit....

I am caucasion, I tan very easily. Is it just too early for them to have faded to full potential? Is this something that can be altered or revised by a plastic surgeon?

There is such a thing as scar revision. You can never completely get rid of a scar, but you can reduce the appearance of some scars. If it really bothers you, it's worth talking to a plastic surgeon about. You mentioned wearing a bathing suit, which reminded me of something. It is very important to keep scars out of sunlight while they are healing. Sun exposure can make a scar worse. Good luck.

First of all, horses can and have gotten hurt on any type of fencing whether it is electric, piping, high tension wire, etc. There is no such thing as a completely horse proof anything. That being said, there are many options you could go with for fencing each with their own pros and cons. Since you asked about electric I'll mention some of those. You could put up a wood fence as already stated by someone. If you feel that the horses may try to jump it or otherwise try to get out, you can buy insulators that will screw/nail to each wooden post which you can run an electric wire through about 3-6inches from the wood fence. You could also use ribbon/rope electric wire that is visible to the horse; if you only use the thin wire electric fencing you'll need to stick tape or ribbon along the wire so that it is more visible to the horses. If you are worried about T posts, there are plastic post covers that they make that you can use. If you are going to use electric fencing for large areas and it is your main fence, then in conjunction with the solar battery, you should also have an electric as a back up in case the solar fails. Solar power is not near as strong as electric usually and it can fail when there are several cloudy/rainy days in a row because it is unable to fully charge itself. You can also run a normal wire fence around the perimeter (4 string barbless wire such as a cattle fence but without the barbs) then a single wire electric fence just inside the wire fence. The 4 string barbless wire fence will be visible to the horses while the added electric will deter the horses from trying to jump/lean on the fence. Just look around at different types of fencing in your area; sometimes there are certain fencing materials that are cheaper in some areas than others depending on availability, such as if your area has a lot of factories and plastics nearby then PVC piping may be not so expensive for a horse fence for you. Just remember that whatever you choose, there isn't ever going to be a fence that is 100% horse safe-horses can hurt themselves on anything, and some seem to have quite the knack at doing so.

You can consult with a PS or your doctor about it, but yes there is such a thing as scar revision.

Some people are more likely to have scarring than others. If you are black, you also are more likely to have scarring issues, as cuts on black skin are more likely to develop keloids than on white people.

You have done everything right.
