I live in Dallas, and it's my 7 year anniversary this weekend and want to plan something awesome. We've never been on vacation without our kids so this is a perfect opportunity for some romance or even what we want to do!! I was thinking Shreveport, but am not so much a gambler and don't wanna drive too far from Dallas. We're spooky kind of people, like real haunted houses and cool cemetaries, s'why I thought LA... I need ideas quick, I've been planning for a week and have NOTHING! Where should I go and what should I do?? Is there a suggested website where I could find ideas, guys?? The 19th approaches fast!!!!

We did the same thing last year. We where going to stay on the water in San Antonio. It was going to be great. then i realized we could go to Cancun for nearly the same price. We changed planes and got ticket that week. It was a great trip.

We stayed at the Grand Solaras which is all inclusive. including drinks. it was about $1500 for everything.

If you don't have passport I would go with San Antonio on the river walk. Much better than gambling.

Arkansas is really noce this time of year too you can go to the Queen Wilhemina hotel.

the aea is beautiful; i don't know how the grave yards are; I hear they are kinda dead.

there is pretty much NOTHING awesome to do in shreveport if you aren't a gambler. you can check the casino websites and see if there are any good concerts coming. if you want something haunted you really have to go further south. most of the rumored haunted places around here are just businesses and nothing with tours and no haunted hotels or anything. shreveport is pretty much a dud... i have lived here for 6 years.
good luck on your weekend and congrats on being married for 7 years.

i do no longer understand the place you're from yet NYC is captivating for the period of the trip journeys. With Rockefeller middle, the extensive Christmas tree and skaters...and the Christmas instruct at Radio city track hall, St. Patrick's Cathedral, all the shops embellished to the hilt...it rather is the region to be. in case you could come, be beneficial to take an exceptionally romantic horse and buggy journey by using needed Park interior the night and seize a Broadway instruct mutually as you're on the city. Dinner interior the theater district in a cafe by ability of candlelight is rather romantic. there is not any longer something like great apple at Christmas.

It's still a drive away but you might enjoy SA. Lots of things to do Ripley's Believe it or not, Guinness Records Museum, The Alamo, and the famous River Walk. I think this would be better than LA since you aren't much into gambling. The Gunter Hotel is pretty creepy...believe me I've stayed there. Have fun!
