These people are known in the busines as "control freaks". They are in fact trying to control the lives of everyone around them, and can get very nasty indeed if they don`t get their way. It is a form of acute selfishness..

They like to feed off negative energy because it gives them energy & makes them feel powerful. It's like a dog that was once a puppy & was attacked by a bigger dog. They never forget it & their whole perception of life changes & they turn into a monster because they dont know how to move on. They were once innocent but they lost their dignity, so they realise that being a victor is powerful. So the only way they can be a victor or feel strong is by being an aggressor & it makes them feel powerful at the xpense of a weaker person. I dont know if that helps but that is my experience.
Their is only 1 way of diffusing this & this is not to react, no matter how hard it may be, because once you react to them you contribute to the whole swirl of negatve energy. Dont feed it.

Because they like to control. My ex wife is a specialist at this and has destroyed many peoples lives. She is unaware of her actions and unable to curb her lust for destruction.
I suppose it is all to do with upbringing, but then I'm just trying to be kind. The truth is they are just nasty people. Brush them aside and get on with enjoying life whilst they fester in loneliness.

there are a number of concepts which neatly divide the human race in half. The one that applies here is :-
' Half of the people are trying to stop the other half doing anything'
Other less relevant ones :-
those that speak of turquoise blue rather than turquoise green;
the half-full versus half empty ones;
etc

GREAT question...one I cannot answer, but I can't WAIT to see what answers you do get...
I myself, have often wondered why some people just HAVE to be miserable jerks...and WHY they feel the need to inflict their nastiness on others....I don't care if you ARE a jerk...just be a jerk to YOURSELF and by yourself.......lol!
Of course, there IS that old saying..."misery loves company"...
maybe that's the answer????!!!!
