Well... lol... he responded to a domestic violence call.... in the last few months of my marriage, my ex-husband and I would fight so much, so loudly and so often that it usually ended with my or a neighbor calling the police. He was the responding officer on two occassion in one week. The second time, he took me aside and gave me a long talk about deserving more. He gave me a little over $200 (all the money he had on him) and told me that if I didn't leave tonight, to save it for an emergency and the next time my ex and I fought, I'd have money to take the baby, take a cab and get a hotel.

It really effected me because he didn't even know me. The things he said to me, stuck with me. Over the following six months I did leave my husband and moved into a battered women's shelter, filed for divorce and got into therapy programs.

One day I was sitting outside the shelter, he had just gotten off duty and was headed home when he was stopped by the traffic light on the corner, saw me and remember my name. We had breakfast together that morning and talk. We ended up spending the ENTIRE day walking around Central Park and talking. We talked for so long that he had to go back to work without ever going home. When he got of work the next day, he took me out to breakfast again. We ended up spending all day, every single day together after that.

We will be getting married in a few months. <3

My soul mate was brought into class by my sixth grade homeroom teacher. She was one of the most beautiful girls that graced the hallways. We were military brats. Moving around the country and meeting new kids was nothing new. I did not think she noticed me until she moved in down the street during the eighth grade. We were instant friends. She moved away and came back two years later a different person, but our friendship was still there. We became a little more than just friends but, I was under the impression that her mother did not wish for us to be so close. Therefore, we became best friends as usual and continued our lives, as best friends. She stayed in the area and I moved on to go to college. We still keep in touch by email, Christmas cards and telephone. She married a couple of times and I was in a long marriage until my wife left me. After my divorce, I asked my best friend if she would consider getting back together. She waited a long time after her divorce for me and met someone else before I called. Now, she is married and I am married. I believe that we could have been happy together, but she and I are on opposite sides of the United States. I do believe that she is my soul mate.

In the military!

We were both in a class together but the kicker was that neither of us were originally supposed to be in that specific one. Mine was moved from the original date of January to the later one in March 2004 and he was actually not supposed to be there until the next one in June 2004 but was given wrong information and showed up the March one.

Everything happens for a reason! Happily married since August 2004 with 2 kids!

When I overheard him talking to a mutual friend. Had never noticed him before. Stored him back somewhere in my memory base and 2 years later he approached me in college. Fell in love, now happily married. It's funny that this question got asked because when in bed last night I was thinking how lucky I was to have found my soulmate.

I don't believe in soul mates, per se. I believe that people come into your life, whether for a short period of time or long, to teach you and enrich you in some capacity. I have friends I would consider "soul mates", past loves who were my "soul mate" at the time, and now my husband (more than a "soul mate" he is my partner). Your soul evolves as you grow older (unless you are spiritually stunted), so one person will never be an exact match forever.

Embrace love any way you find it. If you focus on looking for one perfect "soul mate" you may be missing out on the three or four you already have in your life.

I was going clubbing w/ a friend and he was going w/ his friend. Our friends introduced us and that was it. We have been together ever since that day. I even moved in w/ him 2 wks after we met. Still going strong after more than 10 years. Don't tell me that there is no such thing as a Soulmate because I know there is. I found mine!!!
