He is back in Cleveland where his career started...old buddies coming around...last year of his contract with Sox, probably would love to return home to Cleveland and he damned sure didn't swing his bat like his past games this year...just wondering.

I don't think it's so dumb a question...IF you watched the game, his swings were at balls out of the zone with no power behind them. That's not the Manny I'm used to seeing.

I played baseball w/ Manny in HS (George Washington) and he does have the tendency to be lax when he feels that it's a losing cause. Watching him play all these years I see that this hasn't changed. He wasn't throwing the game as much as he was mentally giving up.

obviously you did not see his reaction in Game 1 when he hit the three run homer. Manny was running around the bases, making all kinds of hand gestures, leaping around the dugout, hugging teammates. If you were to have seen that then you would know that this is a farfetched idea. Keep in mind that Manny was on the Indians World Series teams of the 90's and those teams lost both times. Did Manny throw those games or play less than his A game? I remember during a playoff game AS AN INDIANS PLAYER he was highly criticized because he basically did zip with his bat and the reason was he had changed his batting stance. Manny is a day dreamer and can be quite a knucklehead. Anyone who saw him coming up in Cleveland can attest to that. Manny did later - supposedly - regret his decision to sign with Boston. I heard and read that he did miss Cleveland. But he listened to his agent, he let his agent take control. But throw games? no way. What you are seeing is pure Manny Ramirez. His mind out in space somewhere and he just happens to be one of the greatest natural hitters of the game but there just is not much upstairs for Manny. Just look at his hair - AWFUL. Imagine the gnats swarming that head of "hair"

wow this has to be the worst question ever asked. If you know anything about Manny is loyalty isn't his thing, when he left Cleveland for more money he showed that was what he is there for...money. I'm not dogging him for it because that's how the majority of athletes are anymore but he definitely wouldn't throw a game to help the Tribe because Red Sox owners are the people who pay his salary.

we don't want him back!!!
And no one still wants to give the Indians credit for being the better team on the field. It was the Yankees played bad and now the Sox are too. What about the fact that the Indians are a good team and they are BEATING the Yanks and the Sox.

It wasn't a pitch that "have been given far off from him." It grow to be a humorous tale. in case you undergo in ideas, they confirmed Z's teammate Aramis giggling in the dugout after the pitch. or maybe Manny flashed a grin. It regarded fairly obtrusive to me that it grow to be an All-megastar sport humorous tale.

IF anything, Manny is trying to hard. He needs to relax and get in the groove. But like most all-stars, he's been scouted really well and the opp. pitchers are going to throw him nothing but sliders low and away.

0% no way. He got out of Cleveland fast and went for the big money. He'll do it again.
