No. The registration codes have nothing to do with the installation. The registration codes add content permission to your account. You can install Guild Wars on your PC, your friend's PC, and your neighbor's PC. Unless they have an account, they won't be able to play. Also, even if your friend installs Factions on your PC, if you did not add a Factions code to your account, you will not be able to play Factions. So, as many others have said, it's the login information that is important. You can install, uninstall, then re-install the game all you want, as long as you remember your game login information.

As the other answerer said, all of the account information - from what characters you have, to which quests you've done, which items you have, where you've explored, etc - is stored SOLELY on the ArenaNet computers on the moon (or wherever it is they're located). I'm not specifically sure about GW2, but for GW1, the only thing that was really stored on your computer was your saved password/email combination (if you chose to) and your user interface preferences (i.e., the position of your health bar on the screen). In addition, all of the graphical models, sounds, bits of pre-written text, etc. are stored locally simply to make your game run faster. So you'll have to spend a while re-downloading that 15 or so GB of data, but your characters will be fine. This is actually a safety measure by ANet to prevent anyone cheating. If the characters were stored on the client computers, it'd be relatively easy for someone to modify a saved character file and give themselves un-earned rewards. As it stands, it's pretty difficult (if not impossible) to directly modify any real critical game files.

No, you don't have to re-buy. Once you have used a access key to create an account the software itself no longer matters. You could play GW from any computer in the world once you have an account to sign in with.

Go on and uninstall Guild Wars. Your account will still be there when you re-install it.

BUT REMEMBER YOU ACCOUNT LOG-IN INFORMATION! If you forget what e-mail you signed up to GW with you could be out of luck!

ArenaNet doesn't care if you run around installing Guild Wars on every PC in the world.

The account key you get with each game is for making an account. That is what you are paying for.
