i thought it would be okay. then.....sunday
after noon we had sex without a condom
again..stupid i know.. and i dont know
why we did it. but i took my next pill on
monday night.

heres all that happened in order.

unprotected sex- saturday morning

and im worried about pregnancy.
i thought you could do it right
after taking the pill.. but i see

It's way too soon to tell if you're pregnant. When you first start your pills (did your ob/gyn tell you this and you didn't hear/listen/follow?), it takes at least a month before they'll start to be effective. So what you did, essentially, is the same as having sex without any form of birth control; the pill was not protecting you at any time.

That said, the chances of getting pregnant utilizing the pull-out method as your only form of birth control are actually still pretty slim. Since you were supposed to start your pills on the first Sunday after your last period, your chances are greater; the egg may not have been shed yet. If that's not when you started the pill, your chances are greater if it's around the time you would normally be ovulating.

Stop having sex. The pill is not effective for you now and won't be for at least a month. Call your ob/gyn, go back in, and have him/her explain to you how the pill works. Tell him/her what you wrote here and ask him/her what your percentage of pregnancy chances are. I think they're slim, but I'm not a doctor. You won't be able to take a pregnancy test until you skip your next period (assuming you do skip it).

You should actually take you birth control pills for a month and then you are protected but you can get pregnant in that first month. If you are on the shot you are protected immediately but the pill takes time to get into your system and usually its a full month supply so you go through your first pack and when you start your next you are protected. I hope that makes sense to you.

I doubt that you are pregnant but follow the directions in the birth control packet...if it says wait 2 weeks then wait that long or longer. Until then keep taking you pills and USE condoms if you have sex.

Probably not. You should wait at least a month before having unprotected sex when starting the pill. And you should take your pills around the same time everyday. Sounds like your not.

Call your doctor immediately. You have something like 72 hours for Plan B. Don't waste time, call the office now, and when they answer, say you need to talk with a nurse right away. Ask to wait on the phone.

There's always a possibility, even if you had been on bc for a year it's not 100% effective. Seriously, use a condom, it's like 75 cents for one which costs a lot less than raising a child!
