I'd love to be able to spook up my house and scare some trick or treaters, but don't want to run out to Party City or Walmart and spend a fortune. Any ideas?

Walmart has some halloween decorations that are pretty cheap..they have bags of spider webbing that really stretches and will spook things up..and if you have children, ask them to draw and color some pumpkins and such, or u could do it yourself..they also have window clings that aren't too expensive..they also are selling purple and orange lights that I personally think look pretty cool and they aren't too expensive either...otherwise the Dollar Tree or retail stores where everything is only a dollar is another option..buy some pumpkins from someone that grew them themselves, they aren't apt to over-charge you..those are some ideas for you..Good luck with this..I hope you and yours have a Wickedly good time this Halloween..take care and PEACE!...;0)

Have you tried the Dollar General, Family Dollar or Big Lots stores yet? Also there are some resale shops that may have just what you're looking for at very reasonable prices. Check your local paper for any yard sales this weekend. Best of luck to you and Happy Haunting.

Check out the dollar stores you can find all kinds of stuff for really cheap that is actually really cute and can be used over and over again. I would also check out some of the larger craft stores they always have clearance items that are in season.

last year we did this and it only took 15 minutes.
get a laundry basket or a cat/dog carrier and put a stuffed animal in it, put some creepy lighting on it, and play micheal jackson thriller in the background. the music will attract the kids. and then hide in the bushes and scare the crap out of them.

You could make your own beware of dog signs and put them all over your yard. Kill a hobo and leave them on the door step? Maybe just leave open candy on the walkway with razorblades obviously coming out of them.
