I like the name but everyone always pronounces it differently. So, that will always be an issue for a child with this name.

Ann-dree-uh, Awn-dree-uh, Awn-dray-uh, etc...

My best friend and now sister-in-law (same person) is Andrea. I think it's slightly different, but not so different that people crinkle their noses to it. I like it. It's strong yet feminine. Very Pretty.

every time i hear the name andrea,i cant help thinking of a chubby red haired girl of that name,who i sat next to in first grade,and thats almost forty years ago.

I really like it. It's not something you hear often anymore. Just make sure you pronounce it ann-drea instead of ahnn-drea, because that'll make everyone think of that pretentious geek from 90210.

my ex best mate was called andrea , she had a fling with my now ex while i was still with him and then she tried it on with my now husband , nice girl , she was jealous of me but silly cause she had a better figure.xx
