10-4 I agree, its a war for oil!!!! look at all the people who die everyday in rowanda, africa!!!! they have no oil, so go figure?? this is just another bunch of bull, put on by our corrupt govt. I support out troops, but they need to take a stand, enough is enough!!!!!

pulling out is 10x harder than invading even in the average invasion/occupation on foreign soil. there is nothing average about the current conflict and without the ability for the Iraqi government to function independently nothing is accomplished.

and yes it is possible to simultaneously support the troops but not the war, it just takes some common sense to grasp the concept and deal with reality.

How can you support the troops but advocate that they be defeated?

Personally, I will listen to the people who have been there - not somebody who only knows what CNN wants them to think.

If the war was for oil why is Iraq's output at and all time low. They have a sustainable crude output close to three million barrels daily. Why is it hovering around just half of that. The market place determines the price of crude by supply and demand. Take one and a half million bbls per day out of the supply and what do you have? Take a guess. Here's mine:

It wasn't for oil per se, it was for higher prices and baby we got'em. Don't we?

Doesn't matter...We're there now and need to see it through to the end. Otherwise, the Middle East will simply explode. If you think we have problems now, they would pale in comparison to the problems then.
