Looking over this past year and the postseason at what this amazing rookie has done, I think he definitely deserves to be NL ROY Does anyone out there think he doesn't? Voice your opinions!

Are stats the only criteria that support players for R.O.Y. -

When was the last time a rookie had an unassisted triple play?

Just watching him playing his defensive position on the field is awesome. He gets anything that is generally hit in his direction and the strength in his throws to first is amazing. Even if he wasn't a rookie, he could be a contender for a Gold Glove

My son summed up Troy better than I could. He was watching the Padres game a few weeks ago - then he calls me up and tells me that the winning hit was robbed because "some big giant guy named Tulowitzki just jumped up out of nowhere and got the ball even tho it was hit really hard"

Everybody is saying Ryan Braun, but I think Tulowitzki should get it. I think Tulowitzki was more valuable to his team and had more impact than Braun. That being why he should win the MVP. It's not always about having the best numbers, it's about who is the most VALUABLE.

Edit: Oops, my bad, I meant to say Rookie of the Year, I accidentally typed MVP. I was playing off the word valuable saying that Tulowitzki is more valuable to his team thus deserving RoY awards. Don't be surprised if the MVP and ROY comes from the Rockies. Also Manager of the Year.

Baseball currently is all about numbers, offensive numbers at that. Even though Tulowitzki has and will draw comparisons to Ozzie Smith or Jeter/Nomar in their primes as the consistent, every day player....Braun of Milwaukee will win the NL ROY because Tulowitzki is outshined by the NL MVP....Matt Holliday and he's got the offensive numbers. Give him til about the All-Star break next year and he will have the defense in Colorado that fans of New York have loved for years from Jeter and Reyes.

If you look at numbers, you have to look at all the numbers. Ryan Braun may have Albert Puhols offensive numbers, but he also has terrible defensive numbers. (which I think will only get better next year)

Tulo put on a great defensive show (which always attracts the writers in New York) AND put up some great offensive numbers as well. What might give Tulo the edge over Braun for sure will be his glove. BUT when Holliday and Helton weren't hitting TULO carried the club down the stretch. That's the kind of rep that you get the MVP for.

So I'm voting that Tulo gets the ROY this year and several gold gloves in years to come, as he prides himself on his defensive play.

Tulowitzki 291-24-99 had a great rookie year but has one big problem in winning ROY, Ryan Braun 324-34-97.

Nope I have him as my NL ROY... and in my opinion I have Prince Fielder as NL MVP but argueably some will say Matt Holiday deserves it... but I still think they will give it to Prince Fielder... But with out a doubt Tulowitzki is goin to be the NL ROY... KNOCK ON WOOD!

Unassisted triple play. I don't think any other rookie has ever done that. For once I'd like to see the Rookie of the Year go to someone besides a guy who hits a lot of homers. I'd vote for him. Infield is hard!

I was personally pulling for Hunter Pence all season, but considering he was out for about a month with a wrist injury, he's not eligible. So I think Tulo has a good shot at getting it, though I think Ryan Braun has been a better contender.

Ochosink, YOU ARE F***ING STUPID. YOU CLEARLY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT BASEBALL. First of Ryan Braun is S***! Troy Tulowitzki is such a better player. He is faster, has a stronger arm, a better defensive player, more heart, clutch, etc... Troy is the total package. Troy is a much more complete Player. TROY FOR PRESIDENT.
