What part of an elephants body almost takes up 1/3 of their weight? I'm stuck between their fat, bone, or tusks. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Its BONE or skeleton weighs about 16.5 percent of an its total weight. The skull is heavy to support the heavy tusks and their bones weigh proportionately more because they need more support to counter the effects of gravity. But in total it doesn't amount it 1/3 of its weight.

The heaviest pair of tusks known to be in existence weigh 102 kg and 107 kg each. So it does not take up 1/3 of its weight.

That will leave the choice to FATS. (Quite not sure though if it makes 1/3 of its weight.)
