no it does say just that the teacher cant say i need your mom and dad to sign the permission slip because it might discriminate against joey who has two moms are sally who has two dads or emilio who is raised by the space aliens from mars (sarcasm ppl) my point is why dont they worry about the lesson plans and not what the kids are thinking when they say mom and dad

its abad as some schools banning the use of red ink to correct papers and test because red is an angery color.

The parents can still fight back. For starters they can pull their kids out of CA schools. Since in our nation schools recieve the money based on enrollment this will hit the CA school system right where it matters most.
Further if I had a kid in a CA school I would tell them to become a huge distraction, use awful language then when they get expelled sue for 1st Amendment violation. Force CA to spend even more money it does not have. Also I would find another state to move to and tell my kids to fail the NCLB tests so once again the schools in CA will lose more money. It seems that there is a group within this nation that wants a war for this nations values. Since it is not quite time to use the 2nd Amendment hit them in the pocket book.

I read the entire 'ban' and find no such ban on such words. The text is here:

http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/pub/07-08/bill/sen/sb_0751-0800/sb_777_bill_20070223_introduced.html

I know it's a lot more thick than the "spin" but sometimes you have to dig for the truth. Extremely loosely interpreted specifically to make this bill look bad, you could say that mom and dad are banned, but the bill doesn't explicitly state that somehow talking about heterosexual family values is in someway biased or discriminatory. Since most people would consider it the 'norm' I imagine not much will change. We'll see.

this could be a lie and an anti-gay scare tactic. in case you seem lower back on the era (equivalent Rights modification) of the 1970's, you will locate radical anti-gay activists like Phyllis Schlafly claiming that giving women human beings equivalent rights could convey approximately gay marriage and anyone applying the comparable restrooms. this is the comparable tactic--%. the main outrageous declare and repeat it persistently till human beings have faith it. by no potential innovations that it has no foundation rather. the situation with the anti-gay, professional-homophobia communities in California (the place I stay) is they're dropping so often that they are turning out to be desperate. quite than shield scholars from discrimination and bullying, they opt to make incendiary, outlandish claims in a defective attempt to normalize homophobia. the unhappy component is that their sin of homophobia is greater significant to them than holding our State's college little ones.

The article (as I expect from the World Net Daily) is way off base and jumps to conclusions that are not in the law. Why not read the law before you just accept conclusions like this? Here it is with some analysis links provided as well: http://info.sen.ca.gov/cgi-bin/postquery?bill_number=sb_777&sess=CUR&house=B&site=sen

This is a silly twisting of the real laws that were signed by the Governor. If I am wrong, then show it on some main line web site like LA times.com or OC register.com

Yes, and all Republicans are going to be forced by California law to have their backbones removed so they too can be spineless like all the liberals. Medical fact!

what a bunch of crap. You can't discriminate one group without discriminating another. I live in a traditional home and I feel offended!

so what, is having a mother and father wrong? am I supposed to be gay, is this what they're saying? It's wrong to not be gay?
