and you think this because she has done such a good job at her current and prior posts? Why don't we just make Cheney VP again and complete the wonderful contribution to world stability circle.

Add me to the list of Condoleezza Rice supporters.
The first African-American President of the US will be a social and fiscal conservative, and will be for a strong defense and limited government. And will be a Republican.

Rice ? Hmmmmm. She is smart but is seen as a yes man to Bush. Plus, where does she stand on the issues outside of the war and Bush's administration ? She can't be a Bush copy with him being at 29%.

I think if it's Hillary vs. Rudy in '08, Rice would be a smart choice as Rudy's running mate.

It's too soon. Maybe she should throw her hat in the ring in 2012, but right now she's too closely associated with the Bush Administration. Personally I think she's done the best job that anyone could do of making President Bush seem like a reasonable person to the rest of the world. She's probably got the toughest job in the country right now. I wouldn't mind seeing her run, but if she tried now it would just burn her potential.

Condi is a very smart woman and would be a good President.
However, either she or Bush dropped the ball with all the warnings leading up to 9/11.
If Condi were to run for President, she would have to throw Bush under the bus (and proclaim that he ignored all the warnings she gave to him) to save herself from being evicerated by the opposition.

She was too weak to keep the Defense department from becoming the place where foreign policy was made. She did not stand up to the department of defense when torture was introduced in our foreign policy. Finally, she was the national security adviser that ignored many intelligence warnings when 911 happened.
If this is the best the Republican party can come up with, their best wont do.

Nobody with more sense than Condi's dog would think she'd be a good president. Neocons and their enablers may want to start making plans to flee the country in 2009. Unless they want to risk "justice for all."

I think she would make just as good a President as Obama or Hilary. Maybe even better, but I just don't think she has any interest in running or having her life put into that much turmoil that the media would put it under.
