no, it's getting darker sooner because of the earth's rotation. in some areas of the world, it's daylight longer.
but i am excited about christmas being just around the corner. not looking forward to the cold though :(

Ummmmmmmmm, yes...Winter Solstice, which is also known as either the longest night of the year or the shortest day of the year occures on about Dec. 20 or 21, at least in the Northern Hemisphere...it is in June in the Southern Hemisphere.
So, the closer we get to Christmas the earlier it gets dark. After the 20 or 21 of Dec. then the days get longer and it gets dark later.

Actually I associate fall/autumn or Halloween with it getting darker outside earlier. Christmas is right around the corner though!

I have,infact someone even asked me when the clocks are changing (it's should be either the last Saturday or Sunday of October).Lol I have noticed it's been getting dark around seven.

Yes, i don't like it when it gets dark early as it feels like it is really late.

I agree, it always must get dark before Christmas. Has something to do with the Winter Solstice.

wouldn't it be because the time change? and we are bout to change the time again. therfore, it'll seem like it is getting darker sooner than it did in the summer. hence- seasonal changes. i think you coulda looked this question up on a search engine with out asking it.
